I’ve been on a Mac now since early high school. There is no other choice for me these days. Everything I want. No crashes, no viruses, sick interface, stylish hardware design, and now speeds that compete with PC and even beyond.
This week Apple released:
The more powerful iMac. Now running at speeds up to 3.06GHz.
Just when you thought iMac had everything, now there’s even more. More powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processors. And more memory standard. Combine this with Mac OS X Leopard and iLife ’08, and it’s more all-in-one than ever. iMac packs amazing performance into a stunningly slim space.
I am probably gonna hook one of these up since I have been scoring a ton of freelance business these days and I wanna spend some of that pape. For now I am still on the old 24″ iMacs, the first ones that came out with Intel chips. However, I still keep mine in tiptop shape and spice it up every month with some uber-sexy wall papers. Okay I said it! But seriously, this guy is awesome. Not only can he make girls cream instantly with his heartfelt ballads, but he is freaking hilarious as well! And not to mention the extensive list of beautiful girls he has been with (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, Cameron Diaz and now Jennifer Aniston). If this video alone doesn’t convince you, I would highly suggest searching up some of his finest moments on YouTube. Check out his MTV Bittersweet Preview with Kanye West and his VH1 one episode special titled ‘John Mayer Has a TV Show.’ I guarantee that you will never see John Mayer the same way after watching those videos. Oh yeah, a while back this guy was caught running around a yacht sporting the infamous Borat swimsuit, how money is that?! Check out his blog too, a very interesting read.
As most of you know Grand Theft Auto came out last week to much fanfare. The hype around this game was crazy and it could very well be the best selling video game of all time. The numbers in the UK have been released and according to MCV - http://www.mcvuk.com/news/30423/GTA-IV-smashes-one-day-sales-record - sales for the game hit 609,000 in one day. This number smashes the 501,000 of San Andreas and completely destroys the 266,000 of Halo 3.
These numbers are unbelievable, and owning and playing the game myself, I can see why. With all the good surrounding this game, the bad is getting lost in the shuffle. And the bad is bad. Yahoo! News gives us the following:
Dozens of disappointed GTA IV players have reported that their gaming consoles have frozen at various points in the game. Most of the reports are from PlayStation 3 owners, but some Xbox 360 units have also been affected.
“GTA4Freezes all the time., Heeeeelp” is the morose heading of the largest forum thread, with more than 45 separate messages and more than 6,000 views. The thread was started by an Australian gamer on Monday and offers a typical complaint: “I got GTA on Sunday and it freezes and I have to restart the console it happens every hour or so, I thought it may be a dodgy disc, so I took the disc back to the shop and got a new one and almost 40 mins into the game and it froze on me again.”
Freezing is not the biggest issue. The people at Rockstar North can’t figure out what the problem is. Apparently the problem is erratic and has no pattern. The majority of the issue has taken place with the 60GB PS3 while a few 20GB PS3’s and Xbox 360’s have also frozen.

Now, all this is bad, but there is more. First off, Take Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, publicly rejected a purchase offer from Electronic Arts citing the offered price per share was too low. With the expectation of a boom in sales due to GTA IV, which happened, they felt they could hold out for more money. This problem, however, might change that outlook.
Now on to the WORST part of this whole thing. GTA IV is actually causing entire systems to crash. This again is mainly on the PS3 console, but is happening on XBOX as well. Rockstar looks like they have a massive issue on their hands.

To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of Ryan Leslie. The only song that I’ve ever enjoyed produced by him was Cassie’s “Me & U,” and that’s probably because of how hot Cassie is. However, after watching this video I might have a different opinion of him. He recently stopped by The Invasion Radio Show with DJ Green Lantern and dropped this live performance over Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop”. Homeboy got some skills!

Their latest effort can be seen in a two-minute filmshot by director Guy Ritchie (Snatch) from the POV of the player himself. The film gives soccer-obsessed fans a taste of for what it would be like to be discovered on the field and selected to play for English Premier League team and battle against some of the world’s top players. Some of the world’s finest footballers are featured in this short clip including Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldinho and Wayne Rooney. The two-minute film premiered internationally on April 29 coinciding with the Champions League semi-final between Manchester United and FC Barcelona.
They have also created an blog-like style website in supporting this campaign; various videos, products and features are available on there.
